Streets of Rage Remake is a side-scrolling fighter game, and what the authors call a 'tribute' to the original saga of the Sega Megadrive/Genesis series.

If you've never played the original game, then it doesn't really matter: the plot is quite familiar. A formerly happy city has been taken over by an evil crime syndicate, the police and city officials have all been paid off, and it's up to a small band of heroes to save the day.

There are more than 60 different enemies, you can choose among 16 characters, choose your favourite one and kick asses out there. It's even better than the original one.

Forget the standard storyline, though, the sheer scope of this project is what really matters. The game includes 103 stages, 40 cutscenes, 19 playable characters, 64 enemies and 8 different enemies, so there's plenty here to keep you entertained.
